Testimonials
_______________________________________________________ Dear
Ed, Just
wanted to write a letter to you and express our complete satisfaction
with our new master bathroom. It
is everything we hoped for and more.
From the planning stages to the finished product you were right
there with helpful suggestions and ideas to make the end product a first
class production. Your
carpenters and sub-contractors were extremely professional and
courteous. A special thanks
to Van Bowman for his workmanship and fun demeanor which made the task
of having someone in your house easy to deal with.
We
were particularly impressed with your ability to take a concept and
coordinate all the various people involved to bring the job to a
successful completion. But
then again, that’s what we expected and you certainly came through.
Many
thanks from the Hoge’s Diane & Allen Hoge, Cambridge, Maryland _______________________________________________________ Dear Ed: Linda and I enjoyed very much having you, Holly, and the other key figures in our project for a celebration dinner last Saturday. As I said then and want to put in writing, your focus on quality and attention to details made Pam's outstanding design even better than we could have hoped. As with any complex building, problems arise to be solved and changes must be made You were always ready to propose solutions, and when we raised concerns, you invested the time and effort to develop solutions that would not compromise quality or our satisfaction. Two very visible items come to mind: 1. The cold air return grate in the foyer stair wall. This could have been an eyesore but you custom fabricated a grate to blend in with the paneling so it is hardly noticeable. 2. Chair rail which is on every wall of the first floor. We asked for something like what was in our previous house. You had special knives made and personally fabricated samples for us to select from. With these and many other similar components of the house, you did not issue change orders. As I like to say, "You did not nickel and dime us to death," (like I am sure some other builders would have done). For example, we chose an elaborate crown molding that we know was more expensive than what you had planned for, yet you did not charge us for the difference. We appreciate that. Many of the things you did to ensure a first rate product are hidden, but the telling demonstration of your ability to build quality is the many built in cabinets, shelves, and paneling that were fabricated by your workers right here at the site. They did everything from the entertainment center in the great room to the display cabinets in the hall, living room and dining room, to the wianscoting in the foyer and stairway. And there is my favorite room, the library, with the three walls of mahogany book shelves, cabinets, and computer station that were built here. Even when I made the mistaken decision to eliminate half the shelf supports (with the result the shelves sagged under the load of books) you readily and cheerfully came back in and added the needed supports. In line with your not "nickel and diming us," you helped us save money by suggesting parts of the project where it made sense for us to directly engage subcontractors thus saving us your overhead and profit. And you even spent your time to help us identify the best people to do the jobs. All of this reflects your real strength - a focus on and commitment to customer satisfaction. Starting with you personally and carrying through your entire team, this is not just a slogan but a way of life. Thank you for making us extremely satisfied customers. Very truly, Kim J.
